The current networked environment consists of a mix between twisted pair and coaxial cabling. The two labs on the first floor are configured with coaxial cabling and have five lines returning to the electric room capacitating the 90C DECRepeater that handles the coaxial cabling. In this room, is the home of the DEC hub 90 Workgroup chassis the industry's only stackable and hub-based solution in one product. It is designed to support the communication needs of today's work group in small to mid size companies, and the expanding communications in corporate enterprise wide networks. In this chassis there are eight compromising slots, one was filled with the coaxial repeater that we described above, two were filled by the 90 FA repeaters which are the fiber repeaters. Finally three of the five remaining slots are filled with 2 eight port 90T DEC repeaters one of which was completely free and the other only using two of its ports, and one 16 port 90T DEC repeater that was fully capacitated. The systems using these RJ-45 connections are the offices upstairs, all of which have a conduit wire system either CAT5 or CAT3 that leads directly to the DECHub, and all twisted pair connections are configured in this way. There are eleven additions that will be added from the second floor as well as eight on the first floor. In our proposal, in the next segment, we will explain how this plan is going to be executed.
